Grizzly T27698 6" Helical Cutterhead
Upgrade your 6" cutterhead and finishes at the same time.
The T27698 6" Helical Cutterhead provides quiet operation, better dust collection and dramatic improvement in finish over straight-knife cutterheads.
Each indexable carbide insert can be rotated up to three times to expose a new sharp edge. No more changing and resetting knives every time a blade gets dull.
The indexable carbide inserts are positioned along a helical pattern with the cutting edges at a slight angle to the workpiece for a shearing action that leaves a glassy smooth cut even on the toughest of woods.
The T27698 comes with all 30 inserts on the cutterhead.
This helical head is not capable of rabbeting.

The complete and easy-to-read instructions makes it easier to change the cutterhead on your planer.
We strongly recommend replacing the old cutterhead bearings at the time of installation. The T27698 uses (1) 6202-2RS ball bearing and (1) 6203-2RS ball bearing.
